Simple, Versatile Solar Charge Controller - The Pro Star 30

Considering going from 12 volt to 24 volt? Dan The Project Man makes it seem easy with the ProStar 30. Check out his video.....

ProStar 30 solar charge controller in operation. I got the charge controller from www.affordable-solar.com. The charge controller worked on my 12vdc PV array and also when I converted my PV array over to a 24vdc system. All I did was disconnect everything, re-wire the PV array to a 24vdc output, reconfigured my Interstate Batteries to a 24vdc system, then hooked everything up to the Pro-Star 30 again and it took off and worked perfect.

This sophisticated line of PV charge controllers incorporates constant voltage PWM to make maximum use of valuable PV power. They have automatic equalization, temperature compensation and very high efficiency. They can be used on 12v and 24v systems with sealed, gel and wet cell, lead acid batteries. Front panel LEDs indicate when the batteries are being charged and relative battery state of charge. Reverse polarity protection on input and output. In the event of a load short circuit, the load is automatically disconnected. M models include LCD meter of battery voltage, PV charging current, and load current. Low voltage LVD is current compensated to prevent false disconnect when the battery is heavily loaded. Units are conformal coated to guard against corrosion. Dimensions: 6.01" x 4.14" x 2.2". 5 year warranty.
